M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions)

Global corporate financing in Japan was long based on capital raising from abroad, in other words, capital investment in Japanese growing companies from abroad. While investment banking business is growing, Japanese companies' investment in growing areas, especially in Asia, is extremely important.
We find prominent business opportunities in all of Asia and provide advisory services to companies who wish to invest in this area. We have established extensive network in Asia and served as a financial advisor in merger of a Japanese traditional blue-chip company with an Asian forefront cyber company.

Corporate Finance

In recent years, corporate finance measures in Japan have become more diversified with expanding capital needs. However, those who have access to direct financing are limited to big companies and smaller businesses still have a hard time to raise capital even if they are expected to grow fast. In this environment, we focus on those companies who have ability to successfully develop their business if they have enough capital, and try to give them opportunities to access direct financing. We believe that it is our responsibility to connect these companies with investors in a way to satisfy both needs.

Securitization of Assets

We structure financial products to provide attractive investment to investors. Each investor has a different target in yield and risk. We aim to create products that satisfy each investor’s needs best.

We structured our first Yen denominated CBO in July 1998, the year we were established. Based on the attractive features, superior track record of the manager and an innovative form of CBO, we raised about 18.4 billion(Yen). In June 1999, we structured our second proprietary CBO. This time we issued it in both Yen and the Dollar according to the investors' needs and raised about 26.6 billion(Yen). We will continue to structure and provide financial products suited best to the needs of investors.
